Website Terms of Use

Plain terms for a public preview: what you can explore, what cannot yet be ordered, how to treat demonstration results, and who operates the site.

Last updated 17 October 2026

The public preview

Studio Variant’s website is currently running as a public preview. You are welcome to explore the studio’s manufacturing capabilities and to use the interactive project-building tools. However:

  • Manufacturing services cannot yet be ordered or requested through the website.
  • Project submissions, file uploads, accounts and payments are not open. Using the tools does not submit a project, create a record with the studio, or form any contract.
  • Demonstration output is not an approved manufacturing specification, and no manufacturing order is created by exploring the website or using the tools.
  • Formal quotations and manufacturing arrangements will be available only when those services are activated at the full launch.
  • Information on the site about capabilities, materials and processes describes the service being prepared for launch and is provided for general information.

The website’s Contact form is switched off during the preview. The Contact page instead invites you to follow the studio on Instagram (@studiovariant_) for updates and informal feedback. That is not a route for formal project enquiries: a message on Instagram is not an order or a project submission and does not commit either of us to anything. Please do not send confidential or proprietary information through social media.

Who operates this website

This website is operated under the trading name Studio Variant, a precision manufacturing and design studio based in the New Forest, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Studio Variant is not currently a limited company, so no company registration number applies; if the business is incorporated later, this page will be updated with the registered details.

Operator details · to be confirmed before launch

  • The legal name of the person or business operating Studio Variant.
  • A geographic address for correspondence (a service address is acceptable; a home address will not be published without the operator’s approval).
  • A published email address for enquiries, in addition to the Contact page.

These details are required for a UK commercial website and will be added here as soon as the operator has confirmed them.

The demonstration tools

The Project Navigator, the Material Finder and Start a Project (including the concept canvas and workspace) are demonstrations. Their results are illustrative:

  • Any suggested route, material, process, size or placement is an indication generated from general rules, not a final engineering assessment.
  • Indicative results would be subject to professional review by the studio before any real project could proceed, and may change on that review.
  • You should not rely on demonstration results to make manufacturing, purchasing, safety or design decisions.

Your information in the demonstration

The tools run in your browser and keep what you enter on your own device (see Cookie Information). Nothing you enter into the demonstration fields is sent to the studio. Even so, please use demonstration information only: do not enter confidential, proprietary or personal information into the demonstration fields, and be aware that on a shared computer, browser storage could be read by another user of that device. How we handle personal data you do send us, for example by message on Instagram, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Content, branding and intellectual property

The Studio Variant name, emblem and wordmark, and the text, images, diagrams, catalogues, tools and code that make up this website, belong to Studio Variant or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade-mark and related rights as applicable. You may view the site and use the tools for your own evaluation of the studio’s services. Please do not copy, reproduce, scrape or reuse the site’s content, branding or tools for other purposes without written permission. Anything you create in the demonstration tools from your own material remains yours.

Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully and considerately: do not attempt to interfere with its operation, probe or circumvent its security, send automated or bulk requests to its services, or use the website’s contact routes for anything other than genuine communication with the studio.

Our responsibility

We take care to keep the site accurate and working, but it is provided for general information during a preview period and we cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that demonstration results are correct for any particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

These terms will be revised when the full service launches and project submissions open; the date at the top will show the current version. These terms and your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales, and nothing in them prevents you from relying on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
